Welcome
|
Welcome to ICAT 2004 in Korea ! |
|
In
the spirit of developing innovative Virtual Reality and
Telexistence technologies and applying it to advance and
enrich our lives, It is a great pleasure and honor to host
ICAT 2004, 14th International Conference on
Artificial Reality and Telexistence, in Seoul Korea
for the first time in ICAT history. |
|
Seoul
is the capital of Korea and not only mega-modern of population
over 10 million but also appealingly ancient. Overshadowed
by high rises, Seoul still retains centuries-old temples,
palaces, pagodas and gardens. It also has luxury accommodations,
excellent public transport and cultural experiences aplenty.
Seoul is really an intriguing city where old co-exists
with new. |
|
Over the
3 days of ICAT 2004 you will have opportunities to experience
the state of the art technologies in Virtual Reality and
Telexistence in technical sessions, meet old friends or
make new ones at the Conference Banquet, VR Technology
and Art Exhibition and some more exciting events we would
prepare. |
|
ICAT
2004 will not only look for innovations in the VR technology
itself, but also exploring novel ways to transfer and
express information and creative ideas to the society
and people. ICAT 2004 will run technical sessions covering
conventional VR areas and new emerging areas with a lineup
of plenary sessions, invited talks, tutorials, workshops
and VR technology/art exhibitions. |
|
The success of ICAT 2004 would
certainly be measured by your participation. On behalf
of the Organizing Committee of ICAT 2004, We would like
to welcome you all to join ICAT 2004 in Seoul Korea. |
